Hike Ventures portfolio company ShipIn Systems has raised $52 million in financing. The round welcomed new investors including Proofpoint Capital, HighSage Ventures, Bling Ventures, Framework Venture Partners, and Tokio Marine Future Fund, alongside continued support from existing investors Zeev Ventures, Munich Re, Atinc, and Hyperplane Ventures.
ShipIn provides FleetVision, an AI-powered operational intelligence platform for the commercial shipping industry. The platform connects onboard cameras, vessel systems, sensors, and enterprise data, using AI and computer vision to continuously analyze vessel operations and help improve safety, productivity, and fleet performance.
FleetVision helps crews and shore teams identify early signs of operational risk, including potential fire hazards, equipment issues, and human errors, allowing them to respond before incidents occur. Today, ShipIn’s platform is deployed across more than 1,300 vessels operated by 92 shipowners, making it one of the larger AI deployments in commercial shipping.
With the new financing, ShipIn plans to accelerate its global expansion, deepen its AI capabilities, expand product development, and strengthen strategic partnerships across the maritime ecosystem.
The participation of Tokio Marine Future Fund also highlights growing interest from the insurance industry in using AI to prevent incidents before they happen. Rather than responding only after accidents or operational failures occur, ShipIn uses data generated from real-world vessel operations to identify risks earlier and enable more proactive decision-making.
By turning operational data into continuous intelligence, ShipIn is working to make commercial shipping safer, smarter, and more efficient.
